We’re moving towards a more sustainable future - are you?

Recent European based research suggests that up to 51% of all last mile deliveries in cities could be completed by cargo bikes. According to one calculation, that would amount to a saving of 37 million tonnes of C02 per year, or 1% of Europe’s current emissions. Furthermore the study learned that delivery bikes are, on average, 1.61 times faster than motorised vans in urban environments.

We are going through a societal change; protecting the environment and our world as a whole has become a priority. With that, cargo bikes have taken a surge because they reduce the need for pollution and loud delivery vans. As a result the cities and towns that we live in are becoming less congested and much cleaner & safer.

At Cyclone we understand & welcome the need for greater sustainability and have invested in Dublin’s largest fleet of cargo bikes. The recent addition of E-Bikes means our riders can now travel further & faster than ever before. Our own research shows that 72% of van & car bookings are made for items slightly too large for a standard pushbike or motorcycle - items easily carried by cargo bike.

The next time you book a delivery we would ask you to consider the environment and together we can make a small change.
